TESI Buy-Out
Posted on Jun 12th, 2011
To My Fellow Jourdan River Shores Property Owners,
On Wednesday, June 8th, I had the privilege of attending a meeting with the attorney for Kiln Water District, Mr. Michael Haas, the Mississippi State Public Service Commissioner, Mr. Leonard Bentz, and Mr. David Depreo in regards to the purchase of the Total Environmental Solutions, Inc. (TESI) water and sewage system by Kiln Water District. It was the desire of Mr. Leonard Bentz that a collective effort and representation by the Kiln Water District, the County Utility District, and the Hancock County Board of Supervisors meet with the governor’s staff to request a $250,000 grant that would help offset the cost of purchasing the system from TESI. This would reduce the burden to the residents of Jourdan River Shores and is an effort to keep utility costs affordable.
I would like to extend a special thank-you to Mr. Michael Haas for getting the large white cylinder that was in the parking lot of TESI removed. Finally, I would also like to extend a special thank-you to Mr. David Depreo for scheduling and organizing the meeting.
In my opinion, a lot of progress on this issue was accomplished in this meeting. Future meetings are being discussed. Should you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely,
David Doll
